We will be joining Los Angeles Kiwanis at the Downtown Women's Shelter to assemble "snack packs” of bagged dinners that may be taken to go, for wherever the homeless women might be staying that night. The snack packs have some type of sandwich or salad, fruit, dessert, beverage, napkin & silverware. This is different from the typical work at the center, which is cooking a hot meal for the next day’s lunch. For the snack pack project, not too many cooking skills are needed since the food preparation is fairly simple. Great chance to help the downtown community and meet the LA Kiwanis members.
